Ok so at this point im betting that you all thing im crazy. Its ok, its a commen feeling.
So here is what happend. I was cleaning out my dragon cages so i moved all my dragons to temp tanks (didnt want the chemicals around them/wanted to let it air dry). One of the tanks is a 125gal long tank so i put a temp devider in it so that i could put two in there just for the cleaning of the cages. I made sure everyone was settled in and then went about my busness cleaning the cages, in another room. I went back into the room about 3-4hrs later to put everyone back and my little baby was GONE! I cold not find him anywhere. I searched the whole room for hours thinking that there had to be a way that he got out (like grew sucton cups on his feet? lol sorry i just really dont know). The next morning i started to look again, still no sign so I started to do my daily rutine hoping that he would come out when he woke up. I gave everyone their morning bath and then started feeding. When i got to Grims cage he refused to eat (i thought it odd as this is the third day he has refused food). I got looking at him and low and behold he has a big full belly. Is this even possible?!? He was not a tiny baby but not big either. I am very upset and just dont know what to do.

Has anyone ever heard anything like this? :( I am very lost on what to think.
There was a small gap at the top of the devider that the baby may have been able to get thru.

It has been a very bad last 6months and this is just like another layer of icing on the cake. I dont even know what to do.

holy cow man!!!!! that honestly sounds horrible but how big was the one u think ate ur little guy??? was he so small he could swallow him?? i don't think that is possible at least i think. i actually did the same as u today. i put one in the same tank so i can clean the little guys and i look over and my little guy got bit in the face not even 2 minutes later. and just to say he is 5 months old and the other is 7 months old. i immediately ran and saved my beardie. i took him out and stroked his back till he was calm. i hope u find ur beardie not in his stomach. good luck.

They are known for cannibalism and a larger lizard WILL eat a smaller one. I'm sorry I hope this isn't what happened :(

Well you'll know in about a week....IF he did eat the younger one take him to the vet!it would most likely impact him...you should take him anyways that way you can know for sure,i hope he just escaped and is hiding somewhere warm :(

That is terrible! That could possibly have happened as the larger one could have seen the smaller one as food.
I hope he turns up somewhere else.

Oh no!! I agree that if you think your adult ate the baby, you should take him to the vet because a baby dragon will impact him. They're not very easy to digest. You're lucky that he didn't choke to death on him!!

OMG, I'm so sorry! :(

You need to take Grim to the vet ASAP for some X-rays... That way you will know if he actually did eat him, and try to save him from dying from impaction if he did. You don't want to lose both of them. :(

i dont belive baby lizards have any bones, like baby people they are cartlige, infact full grown dragons are mostly all cartlige. they dont even have a rib cage belive it or not, its just a realy dense shell of skin basicly. i had tried to feed my lizard a gecko, but he instead made friends with it. he has tried to eat a bird i shot, and last night i belive it was he ate fish, not a full fish, it was fried fish, he loved it..
anyhow, if he hasnt gone yet or by tomorrow then he probably will need some help.

yah, made me laugh too. i thought it was a leopard gecko i had found, but it turned out to be a common house gecko, full grown at 2" with no tail, so i eventualy let him back in the wild after wasting a few bucks on crickets for it

a Lizard behaviour is allways like that.. the bigger one eats the smaller one.. if U haven't found it anywhere in the House.. The adult one prob. ate the smaller ..I have seen a lot of wids on utube when a bearded dragon eats a gecko.. or a wild Lizard.. apple sauce with no sugar only apple sauce, or olive oil +baths can make him poop it out.. and when u see some rests.... of ... the lil beardy... Im sorry D: but its the behaviour what all Lizards have.. the Bigger and the stronger eats the weaker and the smaller

Why were you trying to feed it a gecko? thats awful.
I agree with the above, I would take him to the vets, But if you had a divider , was it moved at all? was there anyway for the little on to get out?
I hope for the best! :(

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
