Hello. I am getting ready to start breeding dubiasHello for my baby, Brownie. I see that they need temps of around 90 degrees to breed. What things are you using to achieve this temperature? Also, any other tips?
Also, I've been looking a thunder tank heaters, and most say for use on glass only. I have found one that can be used on plastic and it's for hermit crabs. Is that going to be an ok temp?

It is a 12"x12" section of THG heat tape with soldered and insulated connections. Attach it to the side of the plastic tote with heat resistant aluminum tape and you're good to go.
It has been working excellent for us and baby roaches are becoming plentiful!
The Roach Enclosure Heater is a good option. I have a ceramic heat emitter suspended above the tank and that works well too. They aren't super sensitive to heat fluctuations from what I've seen. They're quite tough. They just breed faster with the higher temps. I had them in the basement at around 68 with no extra heat and they were fine, they just weren't reproducing as quickly as they did when the temps jumped up a bit.
Thank you both for the info. It seems we may be looking into heat tape then, which will be interesting since neither the husband or I have any experience with it.
