HELP GOING CRAZY PARANOID HERE

okay, so today my juvenile beardie just started kinda, puffing out its beard a little bit when she breaths. some ppl say its a respiratory problem, but she is eating and pooping perfectly fine, shes acting a little hyper aswell, someone please relieve me of my paranoidness? hahah not a word but whatever

Is it almost like she is stretching out her beard? If they are getting ready to shed, they will keep stretching their beard to loosen the skin.

yes thats exactly what it looks like shes doing, that would make sense to considering she started shedding her head today

Yep...it's normal! Freaked me out the first time mine did that too.

yeah that's part of their stretching. Mine do it every morning, in the early afternoon often preceded or followed by a nap, and pretty much any time they yawn. What's really funny is if they catch you watching them puff their beard, they immediately stop and give this look like "what i wasn't doing anything" :lol:

Hehehe! Mine saw me watching him stretch this morning. He looked over, saw me, and real quick put down the beard and arm waved, as if to say "I didn't mean it!" :lol:
