Unfortunately, my entire shipment of superworm ended up freezing before they got to my house. I ordered them before the temperature dropped, and it wasn't supposed to drop nearly this much (stupid mother nature). So here's the question... is there any way I can freeze these guys and still be able to use them as feeders?

not sure if this is a bad thing, but if my superworms die, as long as they haven't gotten to the crunchy rigid phase of stiffness, and still flop around, I feed them to my Fezzik and he eats them because he's a piggy. So like I said, if they are all dead, not sure if that's good, are they rock hard and black? or do they still feel squishy?

hmmm... i'm not 100% sure about that... but if you think about it they do have freeze dried feeders and such... but maybe someone more experienced than me will be able to help you....
Good Luck!

I was thinking about the freeze dried ones too... but then again, isn't freeze drying like dehydration? so I don't know, I don't give Fez many, just one here or there just to not waste money on the ones that die. I don't know about a whole shipment tho. Are you sure they are dead and not just like in that hybernative state that can happen in the cold weather? If you haven't already, try letting them warm up a bit and seeing if any come back to life!

I was actually pretty lucky, all things considered. My baby supers mostly all came back to life, I just took a big hit on my 1 inch supers. Still waiting to hear back from UPS... they did some not cool stuff with the delivery. More on that later. I'm gonna try to dig out the deceased worms and stick them in the fridge. Now I just have to find a container that my roomies can't see through.....

How did you end up making out with UPS and what was the not so cool stuff? I've been curious about this?

I pick my supers up from a reptile specialist not terribly far from my house (well a coworker of mine usually gets them) and last time he went they boxed them up, in a Chinese take out box  , in the back room. He gave them to me the next day. I always count them when I get them, just to be sure, people make mistakes. Well, I had asked and paid for 250 and when I counted... I got 139 live, enough dead to add up to 152 and the rest were all exo skelletons... I wanted to kill someone... 12 bucks for 139 worms? I don't think so. I ended up getting 100 more free after complaining, but it bugs me how careless people can be. We sell them here at the pet store I work at (tho with my discount it's still cheaper to go straight to the distributor) and I count every one individually, crickets too, and always give some extra. I just wish people would do the same for me.

Sorry it took so long to update on this, school is running me ragged. Unfortunately, I ended up losing most of the batch of 1" supers, but most of the baby supers made it through. I called UPS and told them that I was very displeased, and all they said was, "We'll talk to the deliveryman, as its company policy to inform the customer of a delivery" and all that fun stuff. So yeah, no recourse to get back my worms, so I paid 43 dollars for 1000 baby supers and about 50 1". Moral of the story... Don't use UPS.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
