HELP!! CRICKET INFESTATION!!

So we were letting our roach colony grow, and feeding crickets in the mean time. However, sometime in the past week, and I have NO IDEA how, the crickets are multiplying in our bedroom...I am finding them EVERYWHERE and its driving me CRAZY!! Tonight, as I was cleaning cages, I vacuumed over 20 off the floor, the bed (which grosses me out the most) and out of dresser drawers! I am going INSANE! HOW DO I GET RID OF THEM!!!!!!!!! This is EXACTLY why I switched to roaches....every time I try to relax I see ANOTHER one crawling on the floor.....ANYONE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell me there is something I can do?????????

My cats and dogs eat em up. Sorry dont have any advice on how to get rid of them for you. If it is cooler then they will not breed I would try and keep that room cool for a bit and that may kill them off. Hopefully someone on here has some advice for you :shock:

Do you have any other pets to eat 'em up?

The simple answer is to hire an exterminator.

I doubt they are breeding, they need dirt to lay in and specific temps for the eggs to hatch. More likely you are dealing with escapees. Go to a hardware store and get the glue traps made for hobo spiders, put them under your bed/dressers/whatever and wait for the little critters to get stuck. Works like a charm without having to spray pesticides all over your house.

They chew through mesh, I had a problem with escapees but never at that level (I no longer use crickets because they would escape and they smelled pretty bad). I hope you get them all, good luck!
