HELP Black Spot on mouth!!

Hi, so today I noticed my Brutis had a black spot on the outside of his mouth, I gave him a bath and it still wont come off! Could it be mouth rot? Or part of him shedding? He hasn't had any behavior changes. Here are some pics from my phone...

Have you tried to use a soft bristled toothbrush on the dark spot while in the bath? I had a similar incident with a dragon when they were younger, it turned out it was just crusted on bug guts or something. It did wash off with some gentle scrubbing but not if I just rubbed it with my finger.

This is not mouth rot as mouth rot generates from inside the mouth. In general I wouldn't expect a young dragon such as your to get it either.

Ok I will try it with a tooth brush today! Thanks for the info I was way off on the mouth rot thing lol

Just throwing this out there, but are you by any chance feedig him locusts? It looks like locust spit!

No not feeding him locust, and it still wont come off with a tooth brush so I still have no idea what it could be. I think im going to make a vet appt tmr.

Ok so I gave him another bath tonight and it came off!! whoo hoo lol I guess it was just really caked on there.

Sweet. LOL that is pretty much what had happened to me with Ifrit when he was younger, hmm... I think I made a post of it too, told the same thing I told you. :lol:
