I wouldn't give up on Stellar. I agree with what everyone has said about the continued search for the little guy. Gail had some awesome tips about setting up flyers and letting other people know about your predicament. This may also sound lame, but I would also get some of your friends together and do sort of a large canvas of the woods behind your home and neighbors houses as a search and rescue mission.

Hope he turns up soon

I agree with that thing which I feel is the exact opposite of lame. I have nothing but faith and high hopes that Stellar is out there, waiting to be found by you and returned to the wonderful basking lamp she previously resided under. Please, keep us updated on everything you do about this ordeal!

Hello everyone!

Great news! WE FOUND STELLAR! :blob5: :blob8: :blob5: :blob8: My brothers were out in the forest looking for snakes when they came across a familiar face. It has been 11 days in 4 degree celcius weather. We are ESTATIC that our baby boy is home. I am so grateful to this forum for the support and love you have sent us. Thank you for not letting me give up on my baby boy! Once he warms up I will fill his belly with juicy super worms and give him a nice warm bath.

Thank you,
Stellars family

Oh wow, I'm so happy for you and your family !! :D What a happy outcome for you, your family and Stellar. You might wait until tomorrow to feed him, especially if it's evening now. He'll have the whole day to warm up, then just give him a few at a time rather than a bunch. His system may be sluggish from his experience. The welcome home party should be a happy one ! :)

Thank you AHBD.

Is there anything else i should know about easing him back in to routine? He doesn't appear to be dehydrated, but I am worried about calcium. Should I get some liquid calcium?

I don't know that liquid calcium is needed. Just go easy getting back into the food routine and maybe provide a couple of baths to give an opportunity for a drink. He's probably glad to be back home in a familiar environment and will get back to his normal routine in short order.

That is great news! Your brothers have redeemed themselves. How far had he gone?

I wouldn't worry about calcium issues, just focus on hydration firstly then small meals, treat him as if he was coming out of brumation. I'm sure you are over the moon to have him back, but make sure to let him settle back in fully and get eating before you handle him too much.

SDragon,
He was right where I had set up the heat lamp, about 15 feet from my back fence in the forest. A few nights ago I had to take down the heat lamp because it was raining. I just want to get inside his little head to see where he was hiding. I left for work at 6:00 this morning and did not want to wake him, so I will feed Stellar around 12 today and see if he will eat anything. I gave him a bath last night and he had a few licks of the water and a poop.

I am so glad to have him back! We are glad this story had a happy ending.

Stellar's beard occasionally turns black and then back to normal again within a few minutes. Is he just getting used to his surroundings again? Stress? Sick?

Hello,

Wow, how terrific for you & Stellar! :D Poor thing, at least he wasn't too far away & was most likely waiting for you to find him, too.
I am so happy he is home now & all nice & warm.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
