Hi recently my bearded dragon has been getting pale with a dark tail, occasionally her beard will turn back but it doesn't last long. I've hearded that the lighter they are the less heat they're trying to take in and the darker they are the more heat they're trying to take in. But I don't think that has anything to do with it. (I can't figure out how to post the photos but I think I did )

She is also currently shedding which is why she has the patch of off colored skin near her back legs.

Please go over some things with us so we can help.

What is her age?
What type/brand of uvb are you using? How close can she get to it?
What are temps on basking spot and cool side? What do you use to take temps with?
What has she been eating? How often are you calcium/vitamin dusting?
What size is her enclosure?
Are there other issues besides the ones you said?

Are you sure she's a she ?

Short period of BBing are very male behaviours.

How dark does the beard get , is it jet black and the throat too ? or just darkening of her whiskers ?

Sometimes the way light falls on them can fool you and make it look like the beard's darkening up , but it's only shadow effects. We all get fooled from time to time and start worrying only to discover it's nothing.

I'm not sure of her age I got her a year ago from a friend who was moving out of state and they had just gotten her from another person so I really don't know anything about her past.
For the brand of the UV I use Zoo Med (it's the only brand the local pet shop carries) I'm not too sure how close she can get to it but it's not too close I actually need to invest in a better basking spot. The temp is 88 on the basking and around the 70s on the cool spot, not too sure what the utensil is called but you hold it in the area for a bit and it pops up on the screen of the device. She eats Rep-Cal formal. Her enclosure is 50 gallon tank. Other then what was stated she took a break from eating for 2 days but today I brought her some bugs and she was so excited to eat them (sat them by the tank while I went to grab her some water and she was rubbing on the glass chomping her mouth at them)

I believe she's a Female. I was told it was and when I checked by her vent she only has one bump. (I've questioned her gender many times trying to make sure I'm correct) And only her whiskers turn black but it seems to come and go (someone told me she's just being moody because she's shedding)

You've got several issues with her setup that are probably causing her problems. First of all, her temps are far too cold, and without proper temps she cannot digest her food or absorb any nutrition or the calcium and multivitamin powders you're giving her.

Basking Spot: Between 98-103 degrees

Hot Side ambient (surrounding the basking spot): between 88-93 degrees

Cool Side ambient: between 75-80 degrees

So you can see that her basking spot temperature is far too cold for her to be able to process her nutrition. She may be a bit anemic.

Exactly what brand, model, wattage, and type (compact, coil, tube, or mercury vapor bulb) of UVB light do you have? Is it mounted on top of a mesh or glass lid, or inside the enclosure? Does it have a reflector behind the bulb? Does it have any clear plastic cover on the fixture over the light bulb? How far is it in inches from her basking spot?

What wattage and color of basking bulb are you using? Is it right alongside her UVB light and over her basking spot?

What is her daily diet? I did not understand what you meant by "she eats RepCal formula"...She's well over a year old, so she should be eating appropriate fresh greens daily with appropriate veggies, and appropriate live feeder insects 2-3 times a week. Appropriate greens are collard greens, mustard greens, turnip greens, Dandelion greens, arugula, endive, escarole, chard, and bok choy. No kale or spinach due to their high oxalate content, and no lettuces of any kind, they have no nutritional value at all. Appropriate live feeder insects include gut-loaded crickets, roaches, BSFL/Phoenix Worms/Reptiworms/Calciworms (all the same thing), Silkworms...No mealworms at all, wax worms and superworms are great occasional treats... You're using a DIGITAL PROBE THERMOMETER, so that's good, but you need to get a higher wattage, bright white basking bulb to get her temps up ASAP, along with an appropriate 10.0 UVB tube, an 18" or 24" long tube and matching flourescent tube fixture. The two beardie appropriate brands of tube UVB lights are Reptisun 10.0 (never 5.0) and Arcadia 12% or 14%.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
