Beardies are solitary for the most part and are quite territorial. Sometimes two females get along well enough to house together but not male/female or male/male. You could do a search for beardie cohabitation problems and you'll find a lot of injuries and sometimes even death resulting from it.

The fish tank decorations should work great. Any decorations need to be boiled for twenty minutes or placed in a low heat oven for an hour, especially if you find a rock or branch from outside to use.

Hope this helps. Beardies are great fun and it's nice to see that you're doing research and getting the tank set up before buying the beardie. Way to go. :)

As long as your house's indoor temperature doesn't go below 65 F (or 18 C) at night you won't need a heating source for night at all. If you do have a chilly house in the winter, you'll want to get a ceramic heating element. They do not produce any light so won't affect his sleep. An example here: http://www.thatpetplace.com/ceramic..._id=26670320&gclid=CJv85Knvm7kCFcJj7AodI1AA9A

To save money btw, for the day time heat source you can use regular household light-bulbs, just get the ones with clear glass instead of frosted.

The UVB should be a tube and you can pick up a fixture for that at Walmart or Lowes/Home Depot for a lot less than the Pet store. Just make sure to remove the plastic cover so that the light shines straight down on the beardie and it isn't filtered through the plastic. This is the brand that is most recommended on here and where I buy them from: http://www.petmountain.com/product/...42-504983/zoo-med-reptisun-10-0-uvb-bulb.html

While I am not an expert by any means. If your temperatures in your do not get below 65 then you do not need any thing on at night. If they do I have seen it recommended to use a ceramic heat emitter as opposed to a "night" lamp. The reason for this is it disturbs their sleep pattern. Others will chime in on the issue.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
