As some of you may know, after a couple of weeks of syringe feeding, I had to have my little guy, Draco, euthanized today. I am so sad, I had grown really attached to him with all the extra time I had spent with him.

Draco is the smaller one on the right. Safira, the one on the left is my first dragon. She is doing really well. I think she could tell that Draco wasn't doing good today. She was sticking close to him and licking his head. They were so good together. I will miss Draco like crazy. After leaving the vet clinic I did end up getting another baby, this time a hypo. I slowly introduced him to Safira today and so far they are getting along really well. I have everything set up though in case they start to fight that I can separate the tank quickly. So here is my new baby Scorch.

Hi. What's cutie I definitely would not put that new dragon with the bigger one as she can easily view him as lunch.

Hi there, both beardies are so cute . I'm sorry that Draco passed, I remember reading that.

I do want to VERY strongly urge you to put the baby in his own tank right now. Please don't wait because they look like they snuggle but the larger one will bite that baby and can crush his head in an instant. I raised dragons for over 20 years and I know dragons, and they do not give you a sign that it is going to happen....they just bite. The baby is in extreme danger, it's really best to put him in another tank. Best wishes to both your babies !

I divided the tank up now so both of them have a separate living space until I can get another setup. They are still both small so it should be okay for a couple of weeks until I have the money. Having a dragon euthanized is an expensive thing...?

That's good, glad to hear it. Maybe you could search around on ebay or Craigslist in your area for a used tank that is not expensive. If you get one used be sure to sanitize it before using it.
