I am new here as well to the world of bearded dragons. I do not own one yet, however, I do own 3 snake so I am not new to the retiple lifestyle. My husband and I went to a local reptile show and a breeder had a bunch of baby beardies. I have never been a huge fan as all the ones I had come across before tried to bite me and Im just not cool with that. My husband was the one who decided to take a look at them, theses little ones were so sweet! I could not get enough of how calm they were and how much they just did not care. I handled a few and while I would have loved to take one home that day I decided against it. The breeder was very helpful in giving me information but I still felt the need to learn much more before I brought one home. The breeder gave us his info so I could contact him again once we were ready. I learned a great deal about cornsnakes from a forum much like this and my snakes are living a healty and happy life. When I found this site I was very happy to see that maybe I could learn about beardies the same way I did the corns, from people who own them and live with them vs caresheets made up at a pet store.
So I come here with an open mind and as I look through the site I hope you will all understand that my questions are to learn and be a good beardie owner. I am looking for as much info as I can handle so pile it on! Anything from the best way to keep them, the best product types, the best types of food, (I found a list on another site that was linked from here but Im sure it does not cover everything since I saw something about roches) to the best bedding, where to find the greens beardies like, and anything else you might think a new owner should know.
See you all around and thank you for all the help you will be giving me.
