Hello from Mass :)

Hi Everyone!
I'm new to the forums, but not to beardies! I live in Western Mass. I am a snake breeder (mostly corns and ball pythons right now), but I love all animals. We have a quite a menagerie here consisting of a group of somewhat-spoiled mammals and reptiles.

My Dragon:
I had lost my beloved adult beardie, Booger, due to a negligent pet-sitter. I was completely devastated and it took me awhile to recover...my trust, however, is still damaged. I got a new beardie recently and named him Ace. He was chosen based on health and personality. I hope to make some friends here and share my beardie stories with people who actually understand because snake-only people just don't get it sometimes lol I'm a slightly paranoid now, having lost Booger, but I think I'll calm down and relax soon. Ace was acquired Saturday and he's already eating like a champ (which is a huge relief with any new dragon, especially a young one). Looking forward to meeting everyone!

welcome! sorry to hear about booger. i would definitely have some trust issues after something like that as well. got any pictures of ace yet? we love pictures here

Thanks I just realized I had a huge typo, so I edited it lol oops. I have some pictures of Ace from when he first got home this past Saturday He was a bit squinty from the flash (it was late at night) and being a bit tired. He is a male blood/sandfire. Of course, today, he has some stress bars, but that's normal I believe until he adjusts. They are so sensitive sometimes.

Please excuse the dirty fingernails lol I had been cleaning stuff before and didn't get to clean my nails.

Ace has great coloring I've had my beardies for about 4 months now and never heard of stress marks. So, being fairly new at BDs I looked them up. My guys have had those a few times, but definitely when I first got them. Good luck with you new baby!

Thank You! Yes, the stress marks are often seen on the young ones, but it's been a while since I've raised a young beardie. What are your beardies names?

The male is Pon and the female is Zi. I gave them nice neutral names because I had no idea how to sex them when I got them. Being a new/first time owner I didn't think to ask the breeder at the reptile show. Oops :shock: Now I'm asking all my questions to anyone who will listen!
