Hello from Calgary!

Hello all!

My husband and I just got a bearded dragon, and his name is Mr. Furley. (As in Mr. Furley from Three's Company...the guy with the googly eyes. My husband thought the name was fitting of a bearded dragon)

I will post a pic of him soon, as we're bringing him home tomorrow. We have the enclosure all set up, and now I'm just trying to figure out what his diet is. Once I've established that, I'll buy the proper foods, and we're set!

We also own two Pugs, Emma and Percy, and a fish. (Used to have 3 African Cichlids, but 2 died...I'll be getting more once my water is ready)

Anyway, thought I'd say hello, and I *know* I will be asking many questions of you all.

Welcome Sandra. Have you got a good heat source for your Beardie since Calgary is getting a bit cool? :wink: I hear it's a lovely place, I know some great people form there.

Well, normally our vet is Dr. Gaviller up by the SuperStore on Sarcee Tr. She's *fantastic* when it comes to dogs, but reptiles? lol I'm not sure who the good vets are when it comes to lizards.

Who do you recommend?

My exotics vet is Dr. Weger at Calgary North Veterinary Hospital. He's really knowledgeable about all kinds of exotics. He saved Jasper's life and has helped us through many, many health crises.

Mr. Furley is a great name for a beardie. Do you have any pics? We always like pics!
