Hello everyone my name Rob this is my first time posting here I'm not yet a bearded dragon owner but I'm in the process of building a enclosure for them and start with my first one

I'm sure I'll have tones of questions, I wanted to do my research first before I buy any this way I know what's needed starting out. I think this is a good place to start and I hope to learn from others

Nice to meet everyone and I hope to be back soon

Thanks for the warm welcome, I wanted to find out as much as I could before I buy my dragons I'v had all sorts of animals but never dragons such as theses. I plan on building two 24 x 24 by 4-ft enclosure I hope this is a good start for room for them. I wanted to get at least 2 of them to start and hopefully raise them to good health

Welcome to our little home and, soon you will be entering a world where things aren't always as they seem. It is great that you are doing your homework before diving into it head first!

First of all, you will soon learn (by getting your first beardie) that don't really own a dragon, it is actually quite the opposite, lol!!! There are going to be times that they let you think you own them just to make you feel better. Don't fall for it, this is a ploy to get you to get them what they want

Secondly, poop is going to be a frequent subject of conversation, yes I said POOP, LOL!!!

Third, you will instantly fall in love with this strange little creature that depends on you for every aspect of his life and, in return he will enjoy your companionship and snuggles!

And last but not least, you will worry about silly things and serious things all while asking questions and doubting yourself and your dragon raising skills........it's all part of the bearded dragon experience.

Just remember we are here to help at any time you need it.

Glad you are going to build two enclosures. They cannot be housed together. They are very territorial and, the end result could be quite gruesome.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
