Hi everyone! I've been lurking for a couple weeks while I was doing research, but decided to make an account in case I had questions for you all. This is my first beardie, I've had her for a couple days now (since Wednesday) and am already in love! I think it's a female after doing a quick tail check, but since she's so little it's hard to be certain :X

She seems to be healthy (I'm going to for sure take her to the nearby exotic vet once she gets a bit older!), very active and responsive. She ate a couple crickets her first night, nothing yesterday, and a few crickets today along with some greens. She made a point when I was watching to eat greens to say "Its OK mommy, I'm eating I promise!"

I'll put pictures of her and the setup below. I'm welcome to any suggestions you guys have for me! I tried my best to get everything she needed before hand and have been adjusting as I went. Her basking spot seems to be about 100 with the thermometers I've been using, but later once I get some homework done I'll run to the store to get a better IR Temp gun (Any suggestions on brands/types that work best?). Cool side has been around 80.

I added the towel as a burrowing/hiding spot of sorts. The first night she slept in the corner by the branch on the tile and just looked so sad all curled up... After adding it last night she slept in the towel, and today she's much more alert and active. I think she really liked it

Anyway I'm looking forward to being here, thanks for having me! :D

Sorry for the sideways and blurry images... my phone dislikes the indoors AND the glass of the tank. Let me know if you'd like to see any other images!

Everything looks great, she is beautiful. Only suggestion I would make is moving your uvb tube bulb to the left right by the basking bulb so that she can get the proper amount of uvb needed to digest her food.

Done! It's on some heavy duty velcro so it's easy to move a little bit. Thanks for the tip :)

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
