Hello and Question

I have a fairly new baby beardie... I have had him/her for about 1 month and it has been a delightful experience. I have done so much research and have asked a few students (I am a biology teacher) about their beardies to make sure this was an endeavor I was willing to make. I do have a question though... can anyone tell me how to decide what color/morph the little one is going to be? Sometimes he/she appears to be yellow, then lime green, then dark. We are currently going through our first shed. Can I post pictures here for someone to look at and see if they can help me?

they dont nessesarily grow up into a color morph they are more or less born that way. post some pics and welcome

My degree is Microbiology/Vet Medicine and am now teaching school. I have spend years working with Wire Fox Terrier Rescue and have even shown my own dog in AKC conformation. After having Wizard enter my life... I am not sure I will ever have another dog. My daughter has a crested gecko and tomato frog, my son has a huge hunk of a plated lizard. I don't know it all Beardies are like Wizard, but this will be the type of pet I will have for the rest of my life. He is such an awesome, entertaining little guy. Watches movies with me... actually sits on the laptop and watches movies... lol. He is great!!! I am also glad to join this forum and get help and advice as needed from knowledgeable bd owners.

Can you tell me why he changes colors? Sometimes he is really yellow and lime green looking... othertimes he looks huntergreen and black.

Usually when they turn dark is when they are basking and absorbing heat.. When I take Scarlett out she turns really bright and her belly is creamy white but when I put her back in her viv and she starts basking she turns really dark.. it's normal

sometimes they change when their excited or unhappy. my charizard gets bright and all the white in him shines if he gets to go outside or watch house, but if he's upset at us, specifically if he doesnt get enough attention he is mohagany and looks almost stressed.
