Hi we recently moved my bearded dragon to a bigger tank so we having been playing with the bulbs to get the temperature right. We have gotten it to where its is between 99 n 100 on the basking side and its around 80 on the cool side are these good temperatures. He is still young so I did try a bigger bulb to make it warmer on the basking side which took it up to about 110 but he was hot and got really aggravated so I took the temperature back down and he was fine. I have tried to get it around 105 but I just can't seem to find the right bulb to get it there. Hes in a 60 gallon tank.

Stick to what your dragon likes, even though it's common to have your basking temp at 110, if your beardie is avoiding basking, because the area is too hot, than it needs to be lowered. My dragon is an old man, and he doesn't like the high temps, so I keep it at about 95 -100 for him.

If he likes his basking spot at 90 then that's ok. try bumping up the heat in a few months and see if he's ready. If he keeps a healthy appetite, continues to grow, and stool looks good, than there really are no worries. Every dragon is a little bit different
