I went and got all a basking bulb and a uvb bulb and set everything up. I have it a couple hours to see where everything was at and the basking side is only at 78F(25C) and the cool side is at 72F(22C). What would be the best corse of action to get the temps where they need to be?

Mine was doing that when I first got it. I gave it a couple of days and it was fine. If it doesn't get warmer, your thermometer may be defective or your basking 'rock' isn't close enough.

Can we have some more details:
How big's the tank?
What type of bulb is the basking bulb (what wattage)?
What's the UVB bulb (is it actually a bulb or a tube? Brand??)
What are you taking the temps with?

The tank is a 55g the basking bulb is a 75w the uvb bulb is a dome style light is haven't gotten the tube light yet. I'm not sure the brand of bulb they came in an all living things bearded dragon/ tortoise equipment kit. The thermometer is an all living things thermometer/hydrometer on the basking side and an all living things thermometer on the cool side

Sorry, I should have been more specific; what type of thermometers are they? Do they stick on this side of the tank (can be very off as they measure the temperature of the side), or an infrared temp gun, or the type with a probe at the end? I suspect your reading might be off because 75 watts should be hot enough.
When you say dome style light, is it a compact coil (kind of curly, and very bad for your beardie) or a mercury vapour bulb?

They're probe thermometers and the curly bulb but if it's bad for them I can easily go get a different one
Yes, please do. You can either get a MVB (never used them so I can't help you there), or a tube which is most used on here. You want either a reptisun 10.0 (t8 is ok if you can get them within 8 inches of it, t5 otherwise, preferably get the reflector hood too), or an arcadia 12% (same thing, t8 within 8 inches or t5 otherwise, preferably the full arcadia slimline luminaire kit which has a reflector and comes with the 12% bulb). Those are really the only two that reliable work well. Other brands, and also compact coils have issues with causing eye problems and not putting out enough UVB.
Good luck in your search!

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
