Hi all, just bought a digital thermometer to check my beardies enclosure and its registering at 101 basking end but 97 cool side and its on the lowest setting! The ceramic heat lamp I use is 100w should I opt for a lower wattage and if so which one? Thanks for any advice :D

I would try maybe a 75W CHE... I'm not sure if you have a petsmart where u are from but if u buy the bulb and its still too hot u can take it back until u find something that works for you..

hey there if you can have the light sit higher above the ground or top of the tank that would work to and give a wide range of light, this is what i did for a while when i could not get a new light

Or get an electrical dimmer switch from a hardware store to limit the power to the bulb to "control" the temp.

yes have a wider light range would work nicesly acutally if you could not get an electrical dimmer. this is what i always do when i need it cooler in the beardie habitat.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
