Heating and Lighting Question...please help...

So my son and I have researched for months, we bought his tank today and I was getting ready to order from petmountain tonight the powersun 160 watt bulb and use a heating mat under the tank (This is what the man at Petco recommended) After reading some of these threads here, I am second guessing the situation. I was hoping that less equipment would be best for him to deal with but then read about how the mat could get too hot and burn the little guy... If we don't do the powersun UVB bulb what exactly would we get? do we only get a regular household bulb for heat and then one of those long bulbs for the UVB rays? I would appreciate any advice, we are not going to get our beardie until we have the tank set up and ready for him to come home, and my little guy is getting VERY excited! Thanks!!

Just posted on the other thread, get the Powersun 160w with a Deep Dome fixture and you should be set. You shouldn't need an under tank heater unless you live somewhere cold in the winter, then I would still recommend a ceramic heat emitting bulb instead.
