Heat Lights

I currently have a 4x2x2 cage and want to make another cage to go under it. The one I made currently has the heat lamps just sitting on top of it with uvb bulbs inside. I was just wondering what type of mounts you used for the heat lamps inside? Wouldnt there be a risk of beardie getting burnt by it?

I used a floodlight light socket and the holder thing but if you don't know what exactly to get Home Depot and Lowes had a floodlight kit that I was going to assemble myself till I found out my husband could do wiring and knew everything we would need for a floodlight. I'm not sure of what went in it but I'd say just buy the kit it was $11 at Lowes and Home Depot and just don't put anything too high to reach up to it and your beardie should be fine.

You need the circle thingy for the top and a seperate flood light socket (they come in all colors to match decor) and then the extension cord but don't use a regular extension cord use one with a ground wire (3 wired extension cord) <= someone correct me if I am wrong.
