Heat Bulb Reccommendations

Hello everyone

I'm currently using a 150watt exo-terra basking bulb and it keeps burning out on me! Driving me crazy. Is there any other brand recommendations that you guys use that don't burn out as easily?

Many beardie owners, myself included, never use pet store bulbs. Just go to Walmart/Home Depot for a 4 pack of 100 watt bulbs, halogen is fine. Nothing colored, just regular.

Same here, was just about to say that. Walmart has cheap and nice halogen bulbs (5 pack I beleive) that are nice and cheap and they work great as basking bulbs

Hello,

I agree, most of the bulbs in the petstore & in Walmart, are not the best quality. The better
bulbs are the PAR 38 halogens for basking, because they don't have neodymium coating on
them like a lot of the petstore bulbs do.
It is the overall brightness that is important. Also, a lot of the lower quality bulbs are simply
made in China where the quality is usually worse.
