Head tremors

Hello all,

I’ve had Link since January and recently I’ve noticed that if I put food in front of his mouth, his head will tremble. This isn’t your normal “get that away from me” head shake, it’s like a tremor. Besides that he eats and poops regularly, he has no problems moving. I always dust his bugs with calcium powder and his greens too. I’m hoping that he doesn’t have ADV as I lost a previous beardie to that issue. I do want to mention that the UVB tube has an issue where it “loses contact” and turns off on its own, I fix it by slightly twisting the tube inside the fixture.

Here are the specifics on his tank:

75 gallon tank
160W powersun UVB basking lamp mercury vapor
Reptisun 10.0 UVB tube that has been put in a Zilla slimelime fixture with the plastic part OFF.
His basking temp is 105F and cool spot 85F
I dust his food with repcal calcium with vitamin d phosphorus free and sometimes the multivitamin version.

I would replace the fixture-- it sounds defective and not working- if your using a T 8 it should be in the tank- you can go to this website look at this fixture - it's a 24" for $32-

I’ll take a look at the website. How can I get the lighting inside the tank? It’s a 75 gallon aquarium tank.

You can use long plastic zip ties - fishing line- 3m Velcro fasteners-- shoe laces-- picture wire hangers- basking decor should be 8-10 inches from UVB
