Head Shedding

Hes shed his head in the past but it started to peel after like 3 days. first it turns like a transparent white which ik is normal and i know the best thing to do is to give him a bath and spray him a bit with water semi often. well its been 2+weeks and its still transparent white and doesnt seem to want to start peeling at all. ive givin him a few baths but he hates the water and FLIPS when i try to drip water on his head. when i spray him he starts freaking out because he hates water on his head. but i continued to do it after the first week of nothing. at this point he seems to be a little stressed and has cut down his eating habbits by 50%. what can i do? are there any other home remidies besides water? i just want it to shed so he stops being so grumpy and giving me stink eyes for sprayin him and bathing him everday.
