He only eats mealworms

I fed him 10 mealworms in the morning with his salad at about 7:30 and I came back at 2 to feed him crickets and he never ate them. He wouldn't even look at them! And then I put 3 crickets in a dish with mealworms and he ate the mealworms then he ran under my dresser. Does he only like mealworms? Is it normal? Are they a good staple or should I give him less mealworms and more crickets? Thanks

mealworms really aren't a good staple, he should be getting better bugs. Not only are they not very nutritious but they can be very difficult to digest.
