having a rough day

I was having a depressing day and sat down with pen and paper and wrote this today.

Tired of hiding behind a smile,
Telling people it's all worth while,
seeing my children out of control,
And feeling like I should hide in a hole.

Everyone sees a ray of sunshine in my eyes,
Even though the clouds are pouring from my skys,
I cry alone so nobody knows,
How bad it hurts in my shallows.

My children are my rocks,
And strengths,
Even if no one thinks or knows.

Things get darker everyday,
Even with every crazy way,
My kids run and play.

So I walk on into my dragons den,
Cause there is so much light and love within,
I am only in for a moment when,
I stop and realize there is hope again.

Thats a lovely poem.
Not being down, but being able to say how you feel and sharing it.
The hope you see in your dragons is wonderful and many times its the only thing that has kept me going, so your not alone.
Don't worry about being judged cause we're like a family we are always going to be here for each other.

That was a beautiful poem!! I think all of us feel that way sometimes,I have a 9 year old and I feel at my wits end sometimes,then walk in Alf and Freckles room and one of them does something to just make me smile. They are special creatures(BTW) I think Alf has a calming,happy affect on my whole family,making us all smile when things go wrong. Hugs and I hope things get better for you.

Thank you for all the compasion and compliments. I haven't written in almost 15 years and al the sudden the words just flowwed threw me and I had a feeling I had to share it as many people do have bad days that feel like this but very few actually admit it or know how to express it. Thank you for reading.
