Having a hard time finding a new tank

Rufus is currently in a 40 breeder. I'm lookng to upgrade to at least a 55gal but I haven't been able to find anything. What I find is either not wide enough or too expensive. I'm looking to spend about $200.
I've checked all of our local yardsale & Craigslist websites and am having no luck.
Does anybody have any ideas I may be missing? Thanks!

Have you ever thought of building your own? We are it the process of building a 4x2x2 and we spent around 200 with lights and everything. If you know someone that could help. Even some lumberyards would cut the wood in the dimensions that you request. Worth looking into. The DIY section on here has awesome directions. Just a thought!! Hope you find a solution soon.

You can try posting a wanted ad on Craigslist. It's a long shot, but you can also try posting an ad to your local FreeCycle asking if anyone has a leaky aquarium they want to get rid of. You actually asking for what you want instead of just hoping something perfect pops up can make people think "Oh yeah, I have a huge tank in my garage I haven't even thought of in 5 years!"

dude im telling you troll craislist hard i find so much free stuff on there, tanks, stands so much stuff. just look hard or hit some of the other forums. bp or tegutalk

I got a freecycled 55 gallon tank, for the reason posted above. It was not able to hold water, but it worked fine for our herps. We have since passed it along to another keeper. I never-ever find anything on CL, but I found this one...

I have been watching it for a few weeks, as money has been tight. He dropped the price, and I just scored it for $100. Picking it up this evening.
It's going to be a forever home for our boa, I think. I'm proud!
