Hatchlings...

I have 2 hatchlings out of 17 that have their tummies still attached to the "umbilical cord"... They hatched yesterday morning, the tummies of the two haven't closed yet, and there is tissue hanging out of them. I have them in the incubator still, on a wet papertowel in a container. They are active and moving about, but the tummy is very thin and the "contents" are out of their belly button.
Has anyone else had this? Is there anything I can do??

Thank you :(

Well, I cleaned the area on both babies with sterile saline and sterile swabs. There is a protrusion from the belly where the eggs were attached. I got the vermiculite and gook off them and put them into sterile containers with saline soaked gauze, and back into the incubator. I am hoping that the quiet and warm environment of the incubator will help them out.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Yeah, that was my thinking, but not having dealt with this before, I needed to ask....

All are doing well now!! I kept them in sterile conditions in the incubator, now they are just as normal as the others!! Yippee!! :blob8:

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
