Ok so here is the deal. Dragon had pinworms and toxidia 2+ months ago. He finished his meds and probiotic about a month ago and hasn't eaten since. I have to keep feeding him baby food b/c he won't eat his supers. I tried not feeding him for a whole week but still nothing.
He has gained back his color and his energy but not his feeding response.
What's the deal? Temps are where they are supposed to be. Night drops don't go under 75. I just don't get it.

Male
160ish grams
11 months old

Hi There. Did you get another fecal after the antibiotics and probiotics just to make sure the infection is gone? Sometimes it takes more than one treatment.

No I have not. He hasn't defecated very much over the past 2 months, except for orange fecal matter due to the baby food.
Can that be the only reason. I have already dropped $180 so far and can't drop that amount on this animal again.

Any other options besides another deworming?

I just see why he won't eat. He ate when it had worms and before the deworming, why won't he eat now?

Coil are very bad for your dragon and this could be part of your problem. UVB helps to regulate things like energy and eating. You need a reptisun 10 tube uvb light. Since you are coming up to the 6mth mark anyway perfect time to buy a new bulb. I would shut you UVB off until then better to go without for a week then to have the coil bulb on. Below is the type of bulb you want for your dragon.

when you can afford it I would suggest getting another fecal done. You do not have to bring the dragon in to the vet to have a fecal done....usually only costs $20 to have one done. Anything that comes out of the bum is good enough to test.

I personally was a little shocked to read that your dragon is in a rubbermaid - is it a clear rubbermaid?
Maybe some other people can add their 2 cents about this.

Hope this helps soon.

Your dragon may be dehydrated,[ and a dehydrated dragon often won't eat] If only bathed once every 7-14 days, especially after the meds he was on. Give him a bath every other day, [ stay with him of course] and dribble the water on his face to get him to drink. Another way to get him to drink is to use a spray bottle [ all of mine drink that way ] and spray the dragon GENTLY on the nose with a small stream. I've done that way for MANY years. If you are worried about humidity, just change the paper towels after spraying...and besides, you don't spray the entire tank, just the beardie's head.

Sorry I have the compact not coil.

As for the rubbermaid it's about 4 L x 1.5 D x 1.5 H solid gray container. It's like 4 inches shorter than a 40 gallon breeder.

Ok I'll soak him every other day and see how it goes. Thanks

One way I have got my beardie to drink is I put her in the bath tub and let the water continue to run; just a small stream mini waterfall. So it moves the water in the tub otherwise she cant see the water if it is not moving. She will dunk her head and drink for 30 seconds sometimes shorter then come up for air and go back down. It is actually quite cute.

Is the compact bulb like the tube bulb I sent you the link because I am pretty sure compact and coil are both bad for your dragon..I may be wrong about the compact however.

This is what I have

I am almost positive that UVB light is bad for them especially there eyes....do you notice your beardie closing his eyes at all or just one eye or do they look swollen?

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
