my beardie keeps gutloading himself, lol. is this ok? i put him in his feeding tank and he'll eat 6 or 7 crickets then go to there gutload and have a FEAST on that, is it ok to let him do that or can gutload lead to impaction? im using chicken hatchling starter feed that the pet store i get my crickets from puts in the bottom of the container, i then put squash and or bok choy in the cricket hutch seperate to the gutload, he said its high in protein and calcium, for the growing hatchlings- in theory. i can see finely crushed grains of some sort in there with a powder mixed through it. can they digest it? any help or previous experience would be much appreciated...

I would be very, very careful in letting him eat that. Look up the brand name of the chicken feed and see what's in the ingredients list, you want to be really, really careful because even though ill-side effects don't show up immediately, they can and probably will show up over time. To be honest, if it were my beardies, they wouldn't even have -access- to that and I would freak if they ever ate it. :(

I have no idea what any of that stuff of is... Well, some of it, but not a whole lot. I know corn is something that beardies should only rarely if not ever eat. Rice is about the same it appears. I'm looking off of http://www.beautifuldragons.503xtreme.com/Nutrition.html for that information. As for all the other ingredients? No idea, but not something I'd want my own to eat. Without confirmation, there's no telling if it's harmful (or not) and I wouldn't take such a risk with my beloved beardies. That's my opinion, though, and if you feel like your beardie is going to be safe with it then go ahead, but I personally? Would never chance it. Better safe 'n sorry is my motto (someone else's, actually, but I'm borrowing it  ).

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
