Harry has a boo boo :(

So it was really hot upstairs today and Harry wanted out of his cage so I brought him downstairs to my nice cool room. I put him in a laundry basket so he wouldn't get lost and he was fine for a while but then wanted out.

He tried to stuff himself through the hole on the side and cut his chin.

I cleaned it off with water and put bacitracin on it. Should I do anything else???? I felt so bad I let him sit with me and eat apples. He LOVES them!

Now he is curled up napping in a big purple bin no holes. I feel so bad for my baby.

You might want to put some Neosporin on it. Not the "+ pain relief" kind, just the regular.
Not really sure what else, hopefully someone else will chime in.
But Im sure he'll be fine! Just make sure to keep the area clean.

I did the Neosporin and he bit me as soon as I touched him with it. He didn't react like that with the bacitracin, but the Neosporin seemed to bother him. I also noticed that he can't eat out of his food dish and I have to put his food on the floor so his chin doesn't hit the dish. Please tell me my baby is going to be ok? I feel so horrible.

Thank you Skyy! I just checked on him and he is sound asleep in his little bed.

You may wanna take a very soft cloth and cover her eyes...then make a betadine water solution to look like weak tea and bath the area very gently with a cotton swab then apply non pain relief neosporin or a triple antibiotic

This is what Im doing for a scrape on my dragon right now and it seems to be getting a lot better. I would suggest though, if it seems to be getting worse or swollen you might want to see a vet, just in case.
