Hard day at work..

I am normally a pretty easy going person but the one thing i CAN NOT STAND.. people who get an animal that they know nothing about it and than wonder why the animal is sick.
The hardest part of my job is having to help people who don't care about the animal they just picked up and want the easy route.
Give it mealworms. Put him ON sand. use the same lighting they did for a snake even if its only 60s.
I am more than happy to take even more the 30min to help someone with any questions but some people just don't see animals the way we do and its heart breaking to deal with and makes me angry.

I did get him to remove the sand but he was trying to feed a baby fruit flies and didn't want to "deal " with crickets and wanted something easier. Some people just shouldn't own animals..

1) ON sand
2) feeding fruit flies
3) Temp. in 60s (he thinks)
4) wanted to feed mealworms Only and a dried fruit diet only
5) didn't want to even listen to see what changes he could make to make the set up healthy for the breadie..

Sorry about your rough day at work. I know I get frustrated and down some days and all I have to deal with is people's clothes. I can't imagine doing what you do all day.

My solution tonight was a nice dark chocolate dulce de leche weight watchers ice cream bar. I feel much better and didn't even break my diet. :wink:

I wish that people would do some research and not buy animals in less they get the right set up and really understand the care the animal needs.

( sorry to anyone about my past post I was just really upset and hurt)
I had a ranting moment. I have lots of great customers who are amazing and take great care of their animals and even some new who don't really understand but are willing to take it one step at a time and learn and that is great.. The hardest part of my job or any job is when someone harms something you care about or have worked very hard on. In my case just knowing an animal was not being cared for right and than trying to help was just not enough this time.
