How long should I leave my new beardie in his new cage to settle in before regular handling. I got him yesterday and he ate 10 pinheads after about 2 hours in the cage. Today he ate 10 this morning, then had a bath, and will be fed again here in a few minutes.

Personally, I'd give him another day or two, but as long as he continues to eat he is probably settled in and feeling fine.

If he doesn't stress out at your hand or being held, no need to wait. If he does, let him be for a few days to a week or so.

If you got him yesterday than 1 or 2 weeks. After the first week you can slowly start handling but make sure you make nice nice with food or something.

To help you can put a piece of your clothing in the tank. He will get your smell from it. Then slowly put your hand in the tank and let him come to you. Don't get discouraged if he doesn't want to come to you. Bonding can take time.
