Hammock?

Tomorrow we are moving Mulder into his new 40 gallon breeder tank. He's about 5 inches long, not including his tail, and probably 4-5 months old. Can he have a hammock? If so, does it need to be low in the tank and close to the floor?

Once I get everything set up, I'll post some pictures. I'd like to get feedback and make sure everything looks okay. I'm new to all of the beardie care and want to make sure I'm doing it correctly.

i have a hammock up for my babies (also 4-5 months old) and they love it!

i have some furniture that allows them to get off and on it, even though it is only 5-6 inches from the base of the viv.

He can definitely have a hammock! And if it's a bit to high for him to just jump off onto the floor, get some type of rock or something of that nature to put in front of him so he can easily climb off the hammock. My beardie is OBSESSED with his hammock, and will not get off it except to eat! He even basks in his hammock and he used to at least move to his tile to poop, and the other day he pooped right on his hammock! He is a lazy little guy! LOL!

that is how my beardie is. My oldest beardie LOVES his hammock. Only time he gets off it is to eat or swim.

My guy was terrified of his hammock at first! He refused to use it for a month solid! I made myself one out of a washable folded bandanna and tiny brackets attached with string - things i had lying around the house. I put it in the cool end so that he has a spot closer to the UVB and a dark spot away from heat and lights. He completely ignored it for a whole week - he'd beard me if i put him on it! Then he discovered that he can hide under it, behind the half log i put as a step up to it and loved sleeping in his little cave. But after about a month he has discovered it! He sleeps there, sits on it when he wants to cool off and (annoyingly) he'll right poop under the basking lamp and then run over, sit on the hammock and glare at me until i move the poop. It took him a few days to get the hang of getting up there, and getting back down again though - I found him asleep half on, half off and i can only assume he got himself stuck since it did not look comfy!
