halogen flood light

I noticed alot of comments about certain lights being to bright for the beardies, or affecting their eyes. I have used a halgogen flood light for my basking spot.. Is this to bright as well. I have seen some people post just using a white dome house bulb; is this prefered over what I am using?

Im sure its fine, because im using Mega-Ray 160w MVB and its extremely bright but so far as i know its the best bulb you can get for your dragon
