Halogen bulbs.

Hey guys, trying to find something to use instead of my CHE to raise temps during the day on the cool side. The only bulbs I could find that weren't LED are these halogen bulbs. They're frosted which I have seen people recommended against through. Would this be worth trying or would it potentially hurt my dragon?

You can get get clear incandescent bulbs at lowes. If your lucky you can get 150 watt, here in vegas I've only found 200 watt bulbs. (They have a spot for lower wattage but they are always sold out). If you use a stand to hang the bulb you could probably use the higher wattage and be ok, put it in a wire cage instead of a dome so some of the heat escapes.

Unfortunately my Lowes here just recently got rid of anything that isn't LED, seems like most other stores have as well. I'll keep looking, probably going to have better luck online.

How much water should I be giving my bearded dragon? He will only drink from a dropper when I drop on his nose and I’m not sure if I should give it to him until he won’t drink anymore? Or should I stop after he’s had a certain amount?
