Hai, I'm Toothless. :3

Hey, my name's Kari, and I bought my lovely Beardie, Toothless back in July. I bought him right after a Bahama Anole I had found at work passed away. He was only 6 months old when we had bought him, so he's about 7/8 now.
He's the first beardie I've ever owned, and the first reptile my husband has ever owned.
I came on here because it's been so long since I've had any kind of lizard(the one I found at work passed away within a week of having him, because nobody knew how to take care of a baby lizard, and couldn't find any decent info online) and some of the things she's doing is scaring me. I'll post that in a more appropriate forum. Just figured I'd introduce us! Here's some pictures!

Welcome! Well she certainly is beautiful! I love the broken markings on her tail!

Sorry to hear about the Anole. They were the very first reptiles I owned, so they hold a special place in my heart.

Thank you! She sure is pretty, love her to death, already!

My Anole was the first reptile I had ever owned on mine own. I grew up with Iguanas, snakes, Monitor Lizards, and almost everything in between. Lol. I went to the pet store, and asked what to do, and when I had picked the sand up, they told me that was fine. :/ Little to my knowledge, he was way too small, and his maggots would get in the sand, and the sand ended up clogging him up. ):

Unfortunately, you get a lot more misinformation at petstores than actual information. It's a sad reality, and something that will probably take a long time to remedy. The best thing you can do is research on your own, get information from a bunch of different sources so you can see the inconsistencies and cross-reference for yourself. :D

That's what I've been doing! And I get most of my info from this forum, thus why I'm here! Everyone's so helpful, and much more cheaper than running to the vet for any little thing that I think's out of the ordinary, but just simple Beardie way of life. Lol.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
