Gut-loading Hornworms

I do not want to buy commercial hornworm feed. It seems a little ridiculous. But I don't have access to mulberrry leaves.
I am just gut-loading, not raising, but they poop so much I am wondering how long the food will last in their stomachs.
Can I feed cricket feed? Or the greens I feed my beardie?

Why do you want to avoid the commercial chow?
It seams like most of the things they will readily eat arent particularly good gutloads.

Reading a bit it sounds like it might be worth trying - but I'd try greens you want your dragon eating first. If they don't eat it try maybe try bell pepper.

Chow isn't a total money grab though... I use chow for rearing silkworms, no tree here either :( sometimes just gotta pay for convenience.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
