Hey everyone. As you can tell I'm still researching. I wanted to know how big they are at certain ages. Like how big are they at 1 year old? Do they grow fast? I really want one but if you read my enclosure topic, it seems I'm a little small for an adult right now.

First, here's Dachiu's (famous breeder) growth charts:

My dragon is 7 months and 15.5", My boyfriend's is 11 months and 17".
By 9 months a dragon really needs to be in a 40 gallon breeder or larger (this is a conservative estimate, some will say sooner). By a year, most of their growing will be done. I've heard of dragons around 24", but there may be larger ones out there. 18"-22" is pretty typical I think.

Always glad to help. Feel free to ask more questions as they arise. I never dreamed I would have a lizard named Lilly, but I saw her on a breeder's website and knew that was Lilly and she was going to come home to me.

My dragon is almost a year old and only 17 1/4 inches long BUT........... her parents were not that big,genetics also play a part in how big they will get. Alf is very healthy and colorful. There are pictures of her in the beardie tales thread under Pictures (sara24354).

it's kinda like people, they grow at different rates, so do beardies but from what i've seen and read, and thru my on experiences with mine., i would say, from about 7 weeks to 3 months they are usually 7 to 12 inches long, then at 4 and 5 months , they seem to be 13 to 15 inches long, at least that's where mine are at 4 1/2 months. then when they'are adults , i believe they can be any where betwween 17 - 23 inches. this is not to say that they are smaller or larger. genetics plays a big part. i think if you see the parents of the babies, it's a good indicator what size your baby is looking at
