Growth question

I have a question about Linus's growth. Hes currently about 6 months old, and 19 inches long. I weighed him today, and he is 448 grams. IS this a normal weight and length for a male beardie? The reason that I am worrying about it is because the last 3 weeks hes been a VERY picky eater. He's gone totally off his dubia roaches, won't touch his butterworms, and will only eat a few reptiworms. The only thing he really goes for is superworms, which I try to ration. He always eats his greens, but the last few days, not so much. I know hes shedding, but at his age, even a little time off grub isnt ideal.

Any ideas?

Your dragon is at the age where their food intake goes down. It is alarming for the owner, but it is their way of regulating their calorie intake and is natural...no chubby dragons in the wild ...so long as he is not losing weight don't worry. Both of my dragons went through the same thing. Your dragon knows he gets daily room service so if he doesn't eat today, he will just wait for tomorrow. And he knows those superworms are coming his way.

He has a nice thick tail and has good weight on him for 6 months. The fact that he is still eating his less than healthy, fatty superworms shows that he is eating for pleasure rather than for survival.

Dragons, like people, have favorite foods they love to indulge in. Waxworms, butterworms, supers are like their version of fast food. Fatty. Some also have a song liking for sweets. My female dragon loves bananas and gets a bite as a treat once in a while. She might not be hungry for salads and roaches/crickets but show her the banana and it's on.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
