I just wanted to share some photos of my beardie, from day one when I got him to the present.
I purchased him from my local Petsmart(decent staff there, it's a good store) at approximately 2 months old: he was about 6 inches when I first measured him.
I first named him Gavrilo, but then my russian mother didn't like calling him "Gavvy" all the time, so she started calling him Grisha since it was easier to pronounce, and it stuck.
Here's him in his first bath. He never likes them, he still hates them to this day, constantly puffs up and tries climbing out.
Death glare:
Third eye:
Gorgeous coloring in natural sunlight:
Here's him a month later:
Unfortunately, there came a time when I was constantly busy and I didn't give him enough attention. His cage used to be in the corner of the living room, which, contrary to its name, no one really was ever in. The only mental stimulation he got was watching the cat and dog play around in the room. I've had a change of heart, and he is now in my room getting the most attention he's ever had, and I've increased his care by varying his diet more and letting him roam around my room supervised to get excersice. He's changed from being a grumpy dragon to a nice, more tame dragon, all thanks to me finally loving him more again.
His first time being wrapped in a towel, we both have silly faces :
Him eating on the couch next to the dog:
I just recently got a new camera, and I'm very fond of this photo, he just matches my couch perfectly!:
Cute orange beard:
I placed him on my arm on the desk after he kept trying to eat everything on it that looked like food:
After a little cradling session:
I never took him outside before because he was very spazzy and didn't like me very much, but after the recent bonding, he calmed down enough so I could trust him to stay outside with me.
After an airplane flew by, he ran for cover under our old wooden boards in the yard. Can you spot him?:
Still under the boards here. I just ADORE this photo, it's one of the best I've taken:
After I got him out of there, slight black beard:
I like this photo, it made me realize just how big of a change he went through this last year and a half. Hopefully he'll continue to live a happier life with me.
That's all the photos I have to share for now.
