Grimlock won't eat his Live Food

As some of you may know I have been having problems getting Grimlock to eat due to relocation stress! As of Tuesday this week he has finally started to eat his veggies, but is still refusing his Live Food.

I've tried him on crickets, locusts, morio and wax worms, but he turns his nose up at everything. I've even started to put worms in with his greens, but he seems to eat round them.

Do you think this is still down to relocation stress? It's been 2 and a half weeks now since we got him.

How old is your beardie? That's kind of weird that he/she is eating the greens/veggies but not the live food. Hmm? Silly beadie's! lol! Is he going poo regularly?

I would highly recomend ditching the ReptiGlo light u are using to provide UVB. The best recomended UVB lights are the long tube lights (not coils) of either the ReptiSun10 or the ReptiGlo 8! All others have been known to cause serious issues. :(

I am having a little trouble gettting my little girl to eat to with all her husbandry up to par according to the very helpful people on this site.. But I recieved my phoenix worms today and she ate about 60 smalls. I would try phoenix worms it might get you beardies appetite back to be able to offer other foods. I am not too experienced in this but I am hoping it will work for my beardie...

Phoenix worms are a great idea, you can also try horned worms... Beardie often find these irresistible!

I agree with Lennifer about the Reptiglo 10, and I think this may be the main source of your problem. You can find a ReptiSUN 10.0 at http://www.petmountain.com for under $20.

Although I don't think your sand substrate is causing any problems now since you mentioned he was stooling every day, I also think this should be change to a none particulate substrate to reduce the risk of future problems.

Cut back on the calcium dusting. Dust only 1 meal per day, 5 days a week with calcium WITH D3. The other 2 days of the week you should be dusting with a multivitamin.

I think once you get the uvb light issue solved you will see an instant improvement.

Thanks for the advice. I will certainly change the light. Does anyone from the UK know where I can buy Phoenix or Horned Worms from?

Sorry I never noticed you were from the UK, I should also mention that if you are not able to source a ReptiSUN 10.0... The next best option which should be readily available to you over there is the Acadia 12.0

On the phoenix worms website there is a link where you can get them in Canada and one where you can get them from the UK.. I recieved mine today and people say that when you dont get them from the source they are not as lively but mine seemed to be perfect from, as for me living in Canda I can't get them from the source either.

How long can Beardy's go without eating Protein? It's been almost a week since he ate any live food? Should I be worried and take him back to the vets?

Some times they gust do not what to eat the live food. My dragon did not eat life food for almost 9 moths when I first got him, he would gobble up any veggies any fruit I gave him. He had the same tree crickets in his cage for months before he ate them. Some time also they will not eat live food they think is too small for them, or to big. Just keep giving him veggies and fruit with his vitamins, you can also try giving him hard boiled eggs for protean.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
