For overnight heat (only needed if temps in the tank drop below about 65) I suggest using either a ceramic heat emitter or a heat projector like this: http://www.reptileuv.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=196. I have mine suspended on adjustable lamp stands so I can fine tune the heat reaching the tank easily. I also use a dimming thermostat to keep the temps within a set range but this isn't necessary if you have everything set at proper heights and check the surface temps around the tank regularly. I also have the Exo Terra 36x18x18. I use a halogen flood light for basking (left side) and a heat projector for nighttime heat (right side). There is a T5 Arcadia UVB light going across the top.

Can anyone advise a good supply shop either online or in the MN/Wi area for setting up a terrarium? and got a used terrarium so to clean it should I use hot water or are there any cleaners that are safe to use?

What kind of supplies are you looking for? You can get a lot of stuff online. There is a good reptile shop in St Paul. I'm not sure how far that is from you. For cleaning, I would use a combination of vinegar/water to get the tough bits off and then I'd use F10SC and/or a steam cleaner to sanitize the tank.

Just the basics to get started such as lighting, feeding, and tank set up materials. I probably would have gone to Petsmart or petco otherwise but st paul is a good as I drive there for work. As for the cleaning supplies I appreciate your input Cooper and I'll look into that.

I would advise you gets your feeder online. Feeders usually cost so much at pet stores. You should try to go for dubia roaches (best feeder IMO), crickets, BSF larvae (phoenix worms), and Silk worms.
Some sites that I suggest include http://www.dubiaroaches.com, http://www.abdragons.com, http://www.phoenixworm.com, and http://www.lindasgonebuggie.com/ (I only just ordered from the last one, but Cooper vouched for this one).
Amazon.com, home depot, and other department stores are also good for getting some supplies. Departments stores are probably the best place for you to get basking lights for cheap (you just get an ordinary bulb that isn't led). You should also look at getting a dimmer for your light so you can more easily control it.

I made a note on your other thread about Twin Cities Reptiles. I highly recommend it. They have some feeder bugs there but you'll still likely get the best prices and quality online. They have some good supplies and a TON of reptiles. They (at least used to) breed their own dragons. I bought my Exo Terra tank there a few years ago along with some nice driftwood pieces.
