Hello, so today I noticed that my beardie has a green scale on his back. Hes mostly orange, so it was real easy to see it. Its one or two scales on his back. Should I be worried? Do you think its a fungus? Ill try and post a picture. He hates baths so i started spraying him. Could that cause too much humidity therefore causing mold on his back?

And for those that ask, I have him in a 40 Gal tank. The Uvb lamp is inside the cage. Its a long tube. Reptisun I believe. I have a basking bulb. Temp is around 100. I feed him mustard greens. Dust crickets every other day. Eats 10-20 crickets a day. He is 6 months old. I use alfalfa pellets or rabbit pellets as a substrate. The store I got him from uses the same for all his beardies.I will also post a picture of his viv on here....as soon as I find out how.

Heres a few pics. He eats very little greens but does pretty well with the crickets. He seems okay other than that! :)

Seeing as no one has answered back, I thought Id say that I gave him a bath and scrubbed him with a tooth brush. I haven’t seen it come back yet. Im going to just have to force him a bath.

Your dragon has very lovely colors!
You said it did spot wash off? It looks like it could be some sort of paint or dirt or something.

Spraying in that tank is going to be a bad idea since those rabbit pellets suck up moisture and get nasty fast once wet. You can replace them with a simpler substrate or you can mist your dragon when he is out if the tank.

Yes, I havent seen the spot come back. And thanks for the advice. I am going to have to start spraying him outside his cage. You're right about the rabbit pellets! Im here in California and its starting to turn into summer, so i might start bathing him outside.

California, I'm a little jealous! I'm sure your dragon would enjoy some sun bathing too once to nice out. Glad to hear the spot didn't come back :)

I can't get over his colors, he is stunning.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
