Girl pooped today and it was green.. Like... play-doh green. Kinda weird so I wanted to ask for ideas as to why it's green.

Her diet hasn't changed at all except for one thing. As usual she gets phoenix worms and crickets and fresh collard greens. Lately though I've tried those Nature Zone bearded dragon bites with her and she loved them and scarfed them down, she's only been eating them for two days. They're red in color, so I honestly expected her poop to be more red but instead it's green. http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2754880 is what they are, don't know if that could be contributing to it.

Other than that though there've been absolutely no changes in her diet, so I'm confused.

Pic included!

Any ideas or thoughts?

Wow, without reading your post that was the first thing I thought when I saw the pic, it looks like play doh.

It does doesn't it? My BF said, "Girl pooped but it looks like.. play-doh!" and I was skeptical but when I saw it I was dumbfounded. xD;

Nature Zone Dragon Bites = green poop

I've noticed it before, too, but I don't know why.

Huh, wow, really? How odd! Is this good, bad or not really anything at all? Hmm. Maybe I'll try to email them and see what they might have to say about it....

The consistency of the poop looks rather odd also. Does your beardie eat on the sand? I ask because it looks as though it has sand in it!

NO! She -never- eats on the sand! I'm much too paranoid to even try it with like a dish or something. I always take both of my beardies out and let them eat in a separate, sand-free container. The reason there is sand on it might be because it was discovered after we'd been out of the room for a couple of hours running errands, which gave her plenty of time to run around and chances are she kicked some sand onto it? I do agree it does look a little.. what's the word... grainy? But I guarantee you she never eats on the sand. I'd never put my beloved beardies at such a risk! :(

I sent an email to the nature zones people to ask them why it's turning her poop green, still no response. Hmmm!

I haven't given her any of them since this poop so we'll see how the next one turns out!

I really wasn't trying to imply anything by my comment. It's just such a weird looking poop!

I hope you get some answers from your email!

It could be the dye they are using to color the bites red. . .

I've noticed the same color changes when my son eats different colors of candy (he is still young enough that he has to show off his poo when its weird) and sometimes red ends up looking green. Go figure.

I know I know.. I just.. @_@ I'm so paranoid now I'm looking at Girl and wondering what the heck she's been up to behind my back! Haha, I'm going to keep a real close eye on her poop and see if it has the same grainy texture.

I know, weird huh? I'm just being curious because it's such a different color than the red color of the bites. So I'm hoping for a response from them to satisfy my curiousity. ^^

certain dyes in manufactured food will change poo color. if you have alot of purple drinks like grape koolaid it will turn your poo green wierd huh

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
