gray spot on his head

Hi everyone,
As always I come to this forum for any questions about my bd..I trust you 100%.
I am somewhat concerned because my bd has a gray spot on the top of his head...It looks like when he is about to shed, but he recently shedded and the spot is still there, it starts at the snout and ends before the eyes (only on top). I would send a picture, but I have no idea how to do it..so I'll give you as much info as possible...My bd is about six months old and he measures 18 inches. he is eating vegetables and crickets twice a day. I haven't noticed a major change in his eating habits. When I touch the top of his head he does not react any differently. I have been watching the spot and it does not look like it is spreading..Is this an infection? What should i do?

How long has this spot been there for? Has he shed it at all?
Sometimes, they go through pigmentation changes when they mature which is what it could be. I don't think it could be an infection.
How close is he to the basking light? Could it be a burn of some type?
A picture would be helpful though for us. Thanks.
