gravid- here's comes the dumb question...

gravid according to the dictionary is a pregnant female with fertile eggs... can a female who has never been with another dragon since birth be considered "gravid"? i have heard that eggs can be produced without fertilization... help! i feel really dumb not being able to find the info i need...

No question is dumb,
and to answer yes a female can throw a clutch or several cluthes without ever having been mated. Just treat it as you would any egg laying and your girl will be fine. What makes you think she is gravid?

not sure if she is or isn't, just want to get up to speed on what it mean, signs, preparing for her well-being. pretty much just a nervous nellie with our first beardie. she has been doing a lot of digging/scratching in her habitat lately but she's only 10 months old

Then you dont have to worry about an infertile clutch at this point. Sometimes they like to try to dig a hole to hide in, or sleep.

18 to 24 months is considered the min breeding age, however I dont tend to breed mine to 24 to 30 months. I dont think this is anything you have to worry about. If it ever does happen you still have a support group right at your finger tips.
