So here's my predicament, Angel laid 3 1/2 weeks ago, she is starting to really swell again and has been having large poops.
I took her out about an hour or so ago and when I rubbed her belly she started hacking, I gave her a bath she took her second big poop of the day when I put her away she seemed fine, I just took her out again and she was fine, out of curiosity I gently stroked her belly again and she started with the hacking again, she just started eating less a couple days ago only indulging a single dubia yesterday. Any ideas, she's not going nuts or anything, I'm confused and worried.
And her specs and care are up to bd.org standards by the way

usually stoping or slowly decreasing eating is a sign of ready to lay very soon BUT then again me female ate 5 minites before she started laying. My suggestion is give her a bath every day and if you have a lay bin put her in and get her some heat! :D As soon as I feel eggs i put my female in and she lays. so give 20min baths everyday and get her in the lay bin. As far as the stroking and hacking IDk but you may want to get her to the vet as an alternative and get an x-ray of her belly. But thats my opinion! :p

You obviousley only read half of my original post, I know what to do when she is ready to lay, my concer is for the obvious discomfort in her abdomen, she was not like this when she last laid.

h2simms is a 12 year old boy. Take his advice with a grain of salt.

I have since been informed, thanks Chelly.

A for effort h2.

I will be getting a fecal done later today and will take her in if need be. I'm hoping to avoid an office visit, with her being gravid, I'm sure we're looking at a $200 bill, but she's worth it and at least she'll pay me back, and I've turned down an offer of $350 for her at a show a couple months ago.(Made the guy irate!) Anyway I'll post an update when I find out more.

More important than age...he is a very inexperienced person who has not actually hatched any eggs.

*Yet*...

It will, unfortunately, happen.

Ehh...I wouldn't even go that far automatically. If he wises up a bit and listens to the advise that he is given on this forum, things will be alright. If he doesn't though and continues to do what he feels like then comes here asking for help, then yes, it will be unfortunate.

Conversation is getting off topic folks, lets concentrate on the OP's issues.
Thanks

The hacking only occurs when you apply pressure to the abdomen or have you seen it happen on other occasions? Do you know what the tank humidity is right now?

I have seen it in the viv as well, it is seeming to be more random. But not very frequent. I don't know the humidity, but has no waterdish and my other dragons are all fine and her viv is very well ventilated. Also the humidity is low in the house, my snakes' cages (5 cages and 10 snakes)all need misted every other day to keep them moist enough.
I don't think it is a resperitory infection as there is no crust or popping or excessive gaping, I have seen a few videos of a dragon with a res. infection and the cough is different, kind of a forced dry cough that sounds like a frog with the volume turned down she almost looks like she wants to puke or has a hairball stuck.
I spoke with a local breeder I know and he said he dealt with a parasite once that starts in the lungs and after being coughed up works it's way into the digestive tract causing infections.
She is pooping daily even after 6 days of not eating. The poops are small and jello-like, not like your standard coccida/pinworm poop.
Todays was mostly a tofu looking urate with a dash of green.
(Sorry for the candid descriptions;))
We'll see what's up tomorrow as I dropped off the fecal today and have the first appointment with my way awesome herpvet in the morning.
I really hope it is simple as a parasite and not something serious like yellow fungus, adeno, cancer, or lukemia or egg-bound.
Has anybody ever had to have their beardie induced or have the eggs removed? I have been scouring all corners of the net and found out this was done sometimes if caught soon enough.

My dragons are on tile, use 125watt solar glo MVB's@ 15" with basking temps of 108f and low temps in the low 80's. 13 hour lights on time and temps are taken with digital probes. All dragons are baithed at LEAST 3 times weekly, and are fed site approoved greens and veggies and get a variety of insects-crix and roaches are staple with silk and hornworms here and there with the odd pinky (mainly for breeding conditioning or when I end up with a few leftovers)

I'll have more info tomorrow.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
