GOUT? Need the Experts

Ordered the meds. Said it would take 10-30 days to be delivered. sheeees. I have been constant with the fluids and have been able to get him to eat a few greens. He also ate a few waxworms. He has been a little more active in his tank; moving around from side to side. His foot is still swollen though. Will update again in a few days. :wink:

Yes, it takes a couple of weeks usually. In the meantime, continue with the dark cherry juice or extract that you have. Give a good pinch of that that to him daily along with extra oral fluids to help.
His foot swelling wont go down most likely without the medication to help break up the uric acid levels.

My bearded has been going to the vets. He mentioned gout the last visit. Roomie, my bearded has a high uric acid reading but he put her back on antibiotics. I found this posting and I just hope I am not too late. I will get Dark Cherry Extract hopefully tonight. If I get powder, just a pinch in water every day. And I will get the medicine tomorrow so if you can advise how much and when I would really appreciate it. Thank you.

Oh no, I am sorry to hear that Norbert did not make it. That is terrible. You caught it so late that he was likely in renal failure as bad as he was when he started the medication. I am sorry we didn't get to him sooner. I am very sorry for your loss.
