Hello All,
I decided to get away from crickets,and ordered 25 assorted sizes of Discoid roaches shipped legally to Florida. Cant have the more popular Dubia here. I have everything , temps right 85 to 95 humidity right 60 to 80% dark container,heat pads,food ,veggies, water. There were some sub adults and smaller little guys. No adults with wings yet. Everything is about how to breed them, My questions are, How long till the sub adults get to adult hood. I cant remember which is which for sexing I know the wings are how to tell. How long after they get to gether (hint,hint) for things to multiply. Ive heard to just have patience,keep temps and food ,water etc right and things will happen. Also Do you separate the adults from the little guys? These roaches don't freak me out like the Florida cock roach does,I hate them. Sorry for the novel RKeene

It sounds like you're all set. When I started my roach colony I had small and medium sized bugs but no adults. It took a few months for them to grow and start to multiply. Started in September and it was pretty well established by February. I just leave all sizes together and let them do their thing. All I do is provide new food every couple of days and replace the cardboard housing as needed.
